Modbury Precinct

The City of Tea Tree Gully is a leafy suburb located at the base of the Adelaide foothills. The Modbury Precinct is at the centre of the City of Tea Tree Gully and is a hub of activity providing shopping, cafes, restaurants, parks, playgrounds, sporting activities and water parks.

I was contracted by the City of Tea Tree Gully to reposition the Modbury Precinct brand. The aim is to raise the appeal of the precinct and create unique offering that would lure potential new residents. After conducting a brand analysis and doing some research my main goal was to create a brand that was more relevant and unique to the Modbury area. I came up with the positioning ‘Our Natural Heart’ which references the existing council positioning statement ‘Naturally better’ and the different offering City of Tea Tree Gully provides. It also positions the precinct as the centre and hub of activity within the City of Tea Tree Gully. A new logo and print and digital templates were created. A style guide was designed so the brand could be effectively rolled out by in-house staff.
